And the Coolpix 5700, I'm sorry I had one, it was the most frustrating camera I have ever owned. It would not focus in a screaming fit. Yes it was professionally checked out twice. I had about a 20% success rate for clear images.

And I agree, not Nikons best camera, 5 years old, 5Mp, 8X zoom, agonisingly slooooow.

Well guess what ?

SWMBO came home from night shift this morning absolutely bouncing off the walls; was going to ring me at 3 AM with the news, fortunately someone was in labour or something so I was spared.

And the camera...........D80, D200, 40D, Full Frame ?????

Nikon Coolpix 5700 @ 38mm, f/3.9, 1/142sec and ISO 100

Kayes happy as, put four photos in, no PhotoShop, just cropping and straightening and collected a first and a commended; and this is her first entry in the Melbourne Show. I'm happy for her and proud too. Can't bask in her reflected glory though I'll just have to lift my game, wait till next year dearest!

The moral is..............."You never know if you don't have a go"

And you don't need to spend thousands to take good photos.
