Someone posted something about Saab seats recently also

www.clarke.ca - Saab 9000 Seats in a Land Rover 110 (http://www.clarke.ca/SaabSeatsInLandRover110.php)

The pug seats look a lot better.

My young bloke modified Subaru Forrister seats into my old 300TDI and they were the trick. Arm rest and all almost like a Range Rover to drive (except noise). Sorrey no pics vehicle unfortunatly long gone.

I'm using a set of saas seats from repco, they are comfy, but i wouldnt buy thm again. I would spend 6-700 on a 2nd hand set of recaros.

I hinged the rear of the rails, and held the front down with wing nuts, so i could still get at the battery.

Honda civic seats from upullit at 30 bucks each

hinged at the back and clamped down with clamps and hinges from a toyota hiace

Brazilian site wotj very nice seats and perhaps much cheaper than Recaro and the ones from UK

The site is HERE (http://www.rallyedesign.com.br/ap-ldrover.html)use Google translation tools from Portuguese to English if you would like to know more about them ;)

I like my standard seats. Drive 13 hours without problems.

Although they are only a few years old. Time will tell.

They would look terrifc recovered in Leather like the XS version in UK.

I agree with Sleepy I see no real reason to change the seats over as the standard ones seem Ok to me. Certainly other places I;d spend my $ first.

Those Rangie Classic seats look good but they'd cost a lot, also I think they;d sit a fiar bit higher than the standrd seats - no good for me !

Oh and I think electric seats in a Tdi Defender with no power windows or central locking or... might be a bit of overkill !

A great reason to change them would be so you could recline all the way back for sleeping.

I guess that is all about choices. there are members here that have other seats on them and others that look for that option ;)

I remember seeing a conversion for the original seats that made them recline, but cannot remember where.
