hi on a 1993 defender with the standard radio how is it that you change the time on them? do you have to hold down more than one button or something? thankyou

My 1998 owners manual says
"When the time is displayed on the LCD, the time can be set as per the following.
To advance HOURS:
While keeping Time/Freq button depressed, press 'Tune +' button

To advance MINUTES:
While keeping Time/Freq button depressed, press 'Tune -' button"

It works on mine, so it may be the same on yours.

Like vnx205 said. I have a 1995 defender and after I got the code to unlock the radio from the dealer today we set the clock in exactly the same fashion.
