...have the fish you caught a preference?,I've been asked to do a study by Yorkshire TV's outside film unit for a new programme on deep sea fishhing in Pontefract, they are looking at calling it 'Did you see that maggot Donald? no Syd it's dark',we are looking which colour shows up best for night fishing.
The person giving the best reason for that colour will get mentioned in the end titles(after me of course),don't be shy send your ideas to...

I've always used the traditional white ones but I hear the new fangled fluorescent pink and purple poka dotted ones are really a hit in the Piscean world. :p

"did not read the post, thought it was just about bait"...........
On another note I have never used maggots for bait, only small live fish, prawns and pippies(best thing ever).......
I might leave the Roast for dinner out side for a few days and see how we go :)

Have heard of blokes storing the maggots in their mouth when out fishing so as to make them wriggle more befor putting them on the hook. Bags not me trying that one though

You should read the book about Tom Kruze - the birdsville track postie. No fridges back then. He said they used to throw some macaroni in with the Lamb chops so they couldn't tell which puffy white bits were macaroni and which were maggots ;)
Which reminds me - time for lunch... :D

Ahhh maggots ... very useful little critters they are too, especially for cleaning out wounds which have turned a bit "dodgy"

I used to love playing with dads coloured maggots when he took us fishing as kids
he used to get all different colours....pink, yellow, green etc etc. We used to hold them in our hands and they'd squirm through our fingers :D
Don't you use them at work NM ?

DING, just got it.....plaster - band aid. Plaster is what we use for immobilization of broken bones and the like, only they are made of fibreglass and come in a choice of colours these days.:D:D

With a magic broom you will never need a ticket again. I feel that Oz may be a little ambitious for a maiden flight though.:(
