Hey guys, does anyone run a boost controller in their D2 td5? Also, finding it a little hard to find accurate data on the boost pressure a stock D2 TD5 runs on?

Anyone?

The ECU controls boost in the Disco TD5, it will go into a default mode if it detects over boost.

Between 15 and 17 or 18 is the max boost for the Disco.

According to our Nanocom mine runs about 14.2 to 14.9 psi of manifold pressure.

Ahh, as opposed to the Defender which can be manually adjusted. THis is where the ECU Flash comes into play then!

Cheers Baz.

Yes and I'm pretty sure the Fender doesn't have a wastegate modulator which is the difference between the 2, it is this that the ECU controls.

There is a device made by B.A.S in the UK that is supposed to fool the ECU into thinking it's not over boosting, discowhite is your man to ask about this, he had one on his TD5 D90, from memory he had the boost up to 24:eek:

Dunno if it works on a Disco TD5 though.

EDIT; here's a discusion on this very subject:eek:

Oh and the previous post should read 14psi not bar.
