Ok just got a reply and friend states that it is not a river and there is actually a road there somewhere:eek:

Also said there was a child in the back and a trailer attached also, they were apparently out collecting firewood.

Everyone is ok

i think its more of a lane than a road
looks very narrow for a road and deep as well :D

thank goodness nobody was hurt

Yep i thought it look a little narrow too, my friends email was a little sketchy but sounds like it was possibly on the Old Telegraph Road somewhere out back of RobinHood and was trying to cross a flooded part of the road and was washed off in the flood.

Probably a bit late for snorkle now mate, they need one of these now

But it shows how scary things can get, 1 decision can lead to disaster. Thankfully all safe!

funny thing is i thought i knew the car

and just so happens i do know the owner (mark)
he used to work for the guy in the next factory to us........

the car is still in the creek:eek: coppers and towy's were there yesturday, but nothing can be done untill the water level falls

as soon as i know more of the outcome i'll let you know

but from what i've herd so far..........

he thought he could drive across the swollen creek(flood)
but as he entered the creek crossing things went a little pear shaped
his car stalled in the water just as he was trying to reverse out of it

himself his wife and 1yr old kid were in the car at the time
they had to climb out the windows to escape as they couldn't open the doors, hence why the windows are down
and yes there is a trailer full of wood somewhere in there
well used to be full trailer ;)

Two things,,, first of all, remind him to take lots of pics during the recovery,,, Petrol or deisel Disco is it?
And, Yes,, the trailer is still full,,, full of water,,,:Rolling:

Poor bugger,, his mrs will probably never want to go out wheeling again, let alone, let him go,,,:(

Didn't he realise that the wife is a portable depth gauge and sent her into the creek before entering with the Disco and trailer
