MSB is a non flashable one, so I would say no. The NNN prefixed ones are the flashable ones.

Although having said that if you just mean setting it up to run the car? You can learn security and code injectors etc, so probably yes. If you want to go any further than that, maybe not.

(edit - I cant find that number - dont know what transmission its from)

if it's a manual disco ecu it should work, although the temp gauge will read backwards.

MSB101181 is a man D2,non flashable.
I put a Defender flashable ECU into my D2,the temp gauge issue allong with aircon and cruise couldnt be rectified by nanocom but were fixed using the sellers Autologic gear.
From memory auto ECUs can go into manual TD5s but not the other way around(Disco, not relevent in a Defender) as the auto box "speaks" to the auto ECU.It simply logs a fault that the auto gearbox isnt comunicating.

Thanks all,

There's one on Ebay $200 but if it can't be reprogramed its of no use to me http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160365224754&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

They can be chipped,BUT it is the solder in type, not the flashtune.Toombie can sort chipping of a MSB ECU if need be.
I kept my MSB as a spare, its a 5 min job to swap and re-boot with nanocom if needed.
