I 've got a DII Td5(162k klms),to cut a long story sort,a friend of mine drove my disco (with 235/85 16 on),he said that he felt it much quicker than his Def Td5(35k klms),even from taking off from standstill.
I was thinking to do a chip upgrade some time - i only own the disco 9 months and 10,000 klms now so no complain from the Td5 torque so far,i only replaced the downpipe with a de-cat one(much nicer torque).
How can i tell if the ecu has been remaped(later type ecu on my disco),if i read the map with a nanocom, can somebody compare it with an original map(if i e-mail it)?
Don't want to pay(when time comes), for a re-map that has already been done!
Thanks.

You need to drive another Disco the same year model as yours, the Defender has less power and torque than a Disco TD5, especially if your TD5 is a D2a 2002 model or later.

TD5 Defender 90Kw 300Nm

TD5 Disco 2a 101Kw 340Nm
