Doesn't look easy to fix in the field.

I think the direct replacement for the Land Rover is the G class
The Hawkei seems to more like a rival for the Humvee.

Pretty sure if you look closely you'll find that the grille badge says Cayenne.

The ADF don't rush into getting rid of things... Think F1-11:angel:

Definitely looks way better than a Humvee.

'Despite its long and proven service, the Land Rover offers minimal protection against the type of threat certain to be encountered in any future conflict - landmines, improvised explosive devices and gunfire.'
And what do they face now? Arrows and stones?

How can you tell from a photo? Ever seen an engine change in an APC or a Bushmaster? Much easier than a Land Rover.
It looks more aerodynamic than a Land Rover.

I was reading a magazine recently, can't remember where and I'm sure what I was reading was the same vehicle.
I think they are made in Bendigo Vic.

nope I can change out a series or perentie donk faster than the 6v53 comes out of a bucket and its a close call for the bush master if you have to do any work on it, Theres not a lot that you can do on the donk without pulling the pack, like say a valve adjustment.
