I VERY often hear about how Macs are better etc etc, but recently the most annoying thing on my PC are those damn Itunes/Quicktime downloads. Are they getting worse than MS in debugging programs? And now my ( newly downloaded) Firefox 3.0.14 seems to dropping out all my punctuation on posts. Do the idols have feet of clay? Regards Philip A

I'm quite peeved by Apple's iTunes updates. Apart from the fact I'm not a huge fan of the application (but am pretty well locked into using it for my iPod Touch), the updates are quite big and "require" an update. What a load of rubbish - it should be more modular so it can accept things like codec updates and so forth.

There have also been a few big Itunes updates lately too. I think Adobe is more annoying personally :o

iTunes always does it, they release a .0 version and guaranteed 2 weeks later there will be another 60 or so Mb to download. iTunes is very quickly turning into bloatware, feature after feature is creeping in. I just want to hear music not what some "genius" thinks is good.

I think, on the Mac at least there's room for a very good music only player and that's it, no more.

Best to allow the update to happen. They are security updates and are to stop other people from taking over your machine.

If the updates don't happen, it can allow hackers / virii etc in (yes, even on a Mac :( )
