First up, just got one off ebay. Its a ML-L3, When working should the little sensor light in the front light up like a tv remote (mine dosnt, maybe faulty), Battery checked out ok. How do you set up the D90 to take time exposures, probable lookong me straight in the eye but my manual print is that small its hard to read and havnt found it in the camera menu (blind as a bat, most likely) or maybe just plain thick as a brick. These digital camera may be great things but they are not as simple as my old manual slr film cameras.

Seems I'm a bit of a camera luddite, I set mine to aperture priority, same as the FE2. Slowly, slowly learning the other bits.

Thats where I found the answer (had it bookmarked for a while now), I had looked at it randomly but wasnt seeing the answer. Spat the dummy and went back to the start and started reading line by line, then low and behold there it was, the answer to my question.
