Off to Warialda (NNSW) in the morning for a week of shooting with my father and a few mates. Heading up for our Bi-Annual pig trip to the uncles farm. Taking the guns and the dogs are already there, they are lovely dogs as long as your not a pig, hopefully we will get a few and some goats, taking the D2 to get there but regretably the shooting buggy isnt a LR but a old beat up Nissan fitted with a pigging/dog tray and all the fruit 4 inch lift f&r lockers/winch and a massive spotty as its a little wild up there.
Will post some pics(tasteful ones) when I return.

Well Im back, Had an interesting trip, almost too hot to sleep or hunt during the day, we were going out about 7pm and returning about 1-3 am, so we sat/napped around and cooked in the camp oven of a day time.
Trying to talk the uncle into opening a 4wd trak as it is mad country up in the mountains very rocky and steep, if he did this he might get some help opening up some of his land or at least some tracks into some of the little valley's

The Tally
9 Goats (on first nite, most in the freezer) 1 leg went to the camp oven next day, very very tasty,
11 pigs (saw over 30)from 2 suckers 4 or 5kg to a 97kg boar,
1 Wild duck, silly thing landing on the dam, also very tasty (the 25-06 didnt even bruise him that much)
200+ rabbits, took the small fridge so only 12 made it home, the rest that we didnt vapourise are in the farm freezer for the uncle/aunty and the dogs

The Arsenal
2x 22mag
2x 22-250
1x 243
1x 25-06
1x 12g Over and Under Bunny Buster (My baby goes everywhere with me)

On the last nite we had a big mixed grill of Wild sucker, Goat, Rabbit, Roo and big pot of vege's feeding about 20 people.
I have some photo's on the camera and when I unpack and find it will post a few.
Was very surprised about the rabbit population up there and the lack of Roo's, we put a dint in them but they were everywhere, We missed out putting the pigs to the Box for some pocket money as the Warialda box was closed and it was to far to Moree, Not to worry.
Looking forward to our Feb/March trip, The D2 went flawlessly with my new front propshaft, for 1050Kms return fully loaded used 90Lts of Dieso so very happy.
Pics to follow soon,
Dazza

Disclaimer For the Greenies(Dont know if I need this)
Yes we are Licenced, Everything we shot was made sure it was dead, Everything that could be used was either frozen for food/dogs or went to the pig traps. The Pigs were left as the Box was closed apart from 1 sucker on the spit.
