Found this in an late 70's Landy. It has Hieroglyphics on one side and Land Rover on the other. It is made of a metal of some description with all the graphics either cast or engraved. Anyone seen anything like it before.

G'day pop058 :)

That looks like it was somebody's personal fob and that looks like it might be Masonic markings on the rear side, it was possibly made for the previous owner as a gift :) is that an FS series key ;) or an FT

G'day pop058 :)

By which way the little grooves are made in it, left side or right side, there were 3 common Smiths/Lucas key blanks used in the post war WW11 era FA, FS, FT there is also another one but I can't remember, that is why the Ign & glove box and possibly fuel cap are usually one type and the door and boot are the other one, so that when inside the vehicle one key is used and when outside the other type of key is used, often the key heads will differ also ;)

The fob could well be a "Tomb Raider" special issue (UK issue) and have been gift or an overseas purchase.

that looks like a masonic eye but I think its the Eye of Ra sun god of the egyptians. dont know a lot but i beleive its a symbol of protection or good luck or something like that.
Like a St.Christopher.
Quite appropriate on the key of a Landy
