View Full Version : Anyone know the origins of a big Cab 130 Coffs Harbour??

Have just bought a 1997 Defender Utility 130 big Cab from Coffs Harbour caryard. Paid $14,000 for it, has only done 140,000 k's which I thought was very impressive. Has been advertised for the last fortnight but 'aparently' everyone has been waiting for the pics to be posted, which happened on Saturday. Did anyone else see this bus? I bought it after just looking at the pics!! They told me it has been checked out by their mechanic and everything is good mechanically...they are getting it detailed and serviced for me and will come with a RWC. I know there are hardly any of these around and was hoping someone might be able to tell me about this particular bus? Will hopefully get it transported down in about a week. Cheers

I used to own a 97 130 extra cab I bought it with only 75000k, stupid me I sold it not knowing how rare they are. mine had steel tray wooden floor aluminum canopy roof with green canvas sides. snorkal and bullbar. Yours sounds like low ks could be the same one. send some pics. I believe telstra had them modified for there work trucks. I found this out later after I sold it.:(

No not yet, I will find out all the details this week. I hope I have done the right thing...it all seems too good to be true with the low kms for that price?? They said to me that mechaniclly it is fantastic etc and that they did not realise the vale of the bus and that they should have had $18 grand on....I am not sure whether to believe them. Anyhow will know in about a fortnight.

Ok, if you find out let me know and i might no who the mechanic is who has done the services on it in the past, then i might beable to get you a number or email address to contact them, the mechanic would be the person to talk to:cool:
