defender 300tdi engine oil recomended

penrite HPR 15 is very popular and is what i used for the last 80000 or so...... however i have just switched over to prolube maxi fleet

I use Castrol Magnetec Diesel.No problems but its a bit xxxy

10w-40. Use a cheaper brand if doing changes at 5k km's and perhaps a better one if doing at 10k km's.
I always change filters also.
If motor is a bit worn perhaps a 15w-50 or similar.

15W40; CH-4 rated or better. I always use at least a CI-4 rated oil.

thankyou all for your time and input,i was hoping that i could use the same oil as i run in my mack truck i you bulldog oil its a high detergent 25w50 engine oil....wes.

No oil related problems ever......Mark
