I devinitely don't enjoy the killing part - and would never brag about it. However my desire to enjoy organically grown duck and goose overcomes my distain of killing my feathered friends.

However, we have had quite a few people that are shocked/horrified that we kill our own poultry - yet most of them happily eat meat - which I find somewhat hypocritical.

Seems to be OK with most from a supermarket for some reason:confused:

I get similar feed back here in general. Sheep,Cattle,Goats,Pigs, Roo's let alone our feathered friends.

Some relatives have a farm. I don't think they have bought meat from a butcher/supermarket in 10 years or more.

I'm not saying you in particular....I know plenty of people that kill their own animals. I have mates in the uk with sheep farms and lambs that I help bottle feed etc went of to slaughter.

When ever a thread like this comes up people always bring up my name like i'm some sort of animal rights activist...

I dont have issues with people killing animals as long as its done humanly and its for a good reason i.e eating it.....when its done for sheer sport and then gloated about is what i dont like. but thats just who I'am..sorry if it annoys anyone:(

That is a 16kg goat. I think we could probably even fit a whole vealer on there :D
