maxi drive hubs

I am looking to fit maxi drive hubs to my defender. Can anyone tell me if it is neccessary to replace the axles as well. Also is $150.00 for a pair of maxi drive hubs about the right price

"If" we're talking drive flanges I paid about $115 each so $150 a pair is very good. I understand that some of the drive flanges foul the rims so make sure you get the right ones.

$150 a pair is a very good price. You don't need to do the axles as well but it's a good idea to at least get the rears done. I just had my rear axles replaced and they were twisted like pretzels at the diff end.
