Hi, I have had our D2 TD5 for about a month or so and it has a vibration type noise when accelarating smoothly through the gears. If you accelarate harder you dont feel it.
The previous owner said he has never noticed it.
Its an automatic too ( which the wife needed as she hates manual 4x4)

Anyone have any ideas? I seem to be a bit picky when it comes to cars as I seem to find noises that others cant hear.

Also how much coolant should they use and if they use more than normal what would be the cause.

cheers
Craig

I'd check the front prop shaft Double Cardan joint and Engine mounts.

What exactly would I be looking for? Sloppiness in the Joint etc?

Yes and wear and tear, the other thing I didn't mention is the exhaust flex joint, that can cause vibration under excelleration.

If you don't know what to look for, take it to a specialist.

Mine vibrates constantly at 2250rpm or 90kmh in top gear (auto) with the box locked up. The noise is getting offensive. I have just done the front Cardan joint but this has not made any difference at all. This morning on the freeway at 100km, it is quiet & vibration free.
