A couple of things I've noticed since putting the top of the engine back together...
Tappet noise is more evident now, or maybe it's just me listening for odd noises. Oil level is ok.
I pulled the dip stick out while the engine was running and noticed a smoky mist coming out of the tube. Is that normal?
Haven't driven it today but had it running in the garage for a while this evening. Plugged the FaultMate in to see if any faults were present and look at the readings with the engine running.
Looked at the HVAC inputs and on one occassion the Heater Core Temperature was sitting at 6537 DegC:o That's the kind of temperature that got Chernobyl in trouble. Looked at it again a bit later and it was at 45 DegC. No cheque book symbol on the HVAC display but I think I should replace the sensor anyway. There was also a fault of "(50) HEATER CORE TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND" which cleared ok.
The Roughness and Timing screen showed each cylinder having a roughness value of between 0 and 1.9 - no idea what this means... maybe some help on the BlackBox site. Ignition advance values varied between -2 and 20 (assume Degrees or millisecs) over time for each cylinder. No misfires or knocks detected.
It's all a learning experience ;)
