We had another awesome trip with just me and the family to Rover park on 24sept to 28 sept besides the wind and dust storm on the sat the weather was great .We completed most of the tracks and meet up with a few pootrols at the challenge it was a bit of a challenge (probarly the reason why they named it that durrr>>;)>>>) the family (my mother on holiday from south africa obveisly saying no one could do that ) stood a fair way back and all the Pootrols jaws where on the ground after that ..........just 10 min prior many a insults where slung my way being the only Disco there "ahh you dont have enough height or grunt in your land rover to do it ,so i said ahh yeah i"ll give it a go .after walking it and checking out my propsed route.. up i went got to the top and came down the same route which kept them very quite and they sheepishly asked what i have to my disco ..after all they all thrashed it all the way up turbo's screaming tyres spining rocks out all i could imangine is the damage they where doing........ when my 49% maxi-drive transfer case and twin arb lockers just slowly edged me up in first ..best mods i have ever done extremely impressed with my new transfer case unfortunately after doing that it was a bit of a anti-climax on the other tracks except for the slipway extremely steep decent with even more of a steeper climb back up very recommend track the hillclimb was a bit hairy with 2 very large tree's at the most crucial part i slipped into the big rutt which hung me up so 3 attempts where needed to get out of it GREAT FUN WAS HAD NO WONDER THEY CALL IT "THE FUN PARK IN THE BUSH"
enjoy a few of the pics

Easy way is to open new thread, then click on attachment.
Click brouse, then choose pics you want to upload.
Do one pic at a time, & click upload from Computer.
The pic once uploaded will show accordingly.
Left click on to the upload pic and hold left click and drag on to thread page.
Clear as mud, but works for me:eek:

Your slideshow link worked for me. :D

The photos are awesome!

Those tracks look well hard and you kicked arse doing them! :p

Love the one where one of the lights in the rear bumper has fallen out and the last one with the fire and steaks - yum! :)

Great Pics and Report. Rover park is one of my favourite parks, good cabin facilities and also some very good tracks. Nice D2 you got there too.
I notice you mention something about South Africa, how long have you been out?

Moved in 03, haven't been back since and don't want to either. I was just about to ask you how you find the reduction gears, at first I thought 49% is a bit too low, but by the sounds of it you seam to enjoy them. Do you have 4.11's in your diffs?
That makes 4 of us Saffas in the club now (I think) , welcome :D
