Hi all

Just changed the diff oils in my 1998 Def 130. I drained 1.7 litres out of the front diff and approx 2.5 litres from the rear salisbury.

I notice that the book states the capacity should be 1.7 litres for both front and back diffs. Is this correct?

I refilled the front diff until fluid come out of the filler hole - this was 1.7 litres.

I refilled the rear until fluid come out of the filler hole - approx 2.5 litres

I haven't driven it yet until I checked I have done the right thing.

Cheers
Andrew

the book was written without taking the salsbury diff into account.

the sals holds 2.4ishL of oil.

MY 1998 manual says 2.26 litres for the rear diff of a 110 or 130.

The 90 is listed as 1.7 front and rear.

Hi Andrew,
2.5 litres sounds right for the Salisbury..........Brian
