Hi everyone, the old boy has a 08 130 we use on farm, driving around harvesting yesterday stopped at silos to do stuff and i had to drive it home from there when ever i finished. Finished work in a rush jumped in and hit the key it was in 1st so i tried taking it out, nothing stuck as. can wobble the gear stick like its in N but is there anyway somthing could of come a drift???? 
its a long drive home in 1st gear at 15k when you have 15k to go.......:(

A grub screw used to come loose on the R380 box gear lever but I have no idea if it could be the same issue with the 6spd box.

Any update on this?
I had a phone call re a Puma stuck in gear (probably first).  All I can find on the 'net is this.  The Defender in question has VIN 7770nn.

Is this a gearbox out repair?
Subject/Concern:
Transmission Stuck In First, Second or Reverse Gear.
Affected Range:
Defender (LD) - 2.4L Puma Diesel Only … VIN Range: 7A732615 Onwards.
Symptoms:
The customer may report that the transmission is stuck in first, second or reverse gear.
Cause:
Main-shaft rail deflection during a high side load during gear selection.
Action:
Should a customer express concern, install a new transmission selector lever kit. Follow the Service Instruction outlined below.
