Hi All,
Heres a few pics i took on the beach last weekend of Chris's D1,,, its a good demonstration of the burst mode on the 40d :)

Does anyone else have any good burst mode shots? i have plenty now, its a great feature, the 40d can do 7FPS for around 70-80 shots.

thats actually a pretty silly thing to do with a kid in the car.
sorry to be a downer on a great set of photos. but it disturbs me when you see this type of thing involving little kids, as there was obviously a great deal of speed involved.

well not really, beceause of the shape of the dune it doesnt really take much speed, someone probobly has video this jump? the biggest danger here is damaging the truck, we had the driven up and down the dune several times and knew what to expext leading up to the this and have had plenty of experience on the dunes, i think theres probobly more risk to kids taking them offroad in the bush on harder tracks or leavin them in or near the cars during recoverys...

Here is a little trick if you want to see that almost like a video.

Set your browser window to the right height. The size will depend on your screen resolution.

View the first photo and click repeatedly near the bottom of the scroll bar ten times in quick succession.

If you get the size right, you get a surprisingly good imitation of a movie at about 10fps.

You may need to do it more than once to get the pictures into a cache. You will probably need to do it a couple of times anyway to get the right size window.

If my 8 year old computer can do it, I'm sure everyone else's can cope with the task. Mind you I am running Xubuntu rather than Windoze.:p
