Where's the engine number on a 2 Litre?

G'day experts,

I have been offered another 2 litre motor (First I can't find one, now I have 3 to look at :angel:)

I am dealing via email - can you tell me where the engine number is stamped on a 2 litre (IOE).

Hi, Should be stamped just infront of the exhaust manifold towards the front of the motor.

And in about the same position just aft of the rear exhaust port.

This might be a question I might actually be able to help with! On my 2 litre engine, the number is about (well, actually it is below the line of the blue oil filler cap) where I have indicated on this pic.... :)
