Hi, Does the Puma engine have a timing belt or chain. Had a 300tdi which required the timing belt changed every 100,000kg. a bit of a pain. At the moment driving a SsangYong musso towing a 16.5' pop top caravan. This vehicle is adequate at the moment but I would like to update, both caravan and vehicle to a 110. Any thoughts:eek:

 need to explain this.....as far as i'm aware the timing belt only needs to be changed between every 80 to 100,000 kilometers

The Puma engine is arguably not as good/reliable as the Mercedes diesel engines used in SsangYong musso, but they do have a timing chain.

IMHO, timing belts were given an undeserved bad name by the poor Land Rover engineering/cost cutting in its implementation in the 300Tdi.
