For the second time I have managed to loosen the outer trim on the outside of the passenger door on a high gutter.

Just wondering how to overcome the door open sensors so the vehicle can be raised before door closing to avoid a repeat ??

GPS-AU,
Door sensors are part of the door lock/latch assembly & there is not much you can do with this sytem.
It all talks to the CJB, If the door latch is not home the vehicle will fire a mislock signal to advise.

Cheers

It appears to be door located (rather than door frame), so I am thinking of trying to "fool" the system very temporarily (just enough to get the vehicle up a "touch").

I have an idea, so if it works, I'll let everyone know....

Gee, I wish it was all so easy !!

Very simple solution.

Start engine,
close other doors,
lean in from open door and attempt to raise vehicle,
use key or anything else to insert in door latch, look at latch bar on door frame for something the right size as a guide.
push lever so door clicks (same as latch bar) AND HOLD to max side insertion,
vehicle will think door is closed and automatically raise (you did remember to set vehicle to raise ?).

Very simple, very easy !!

once up, don't forget to use door handle to open door mechanism before slamming it shut P)
