further to my previous posts. I have found a crack in the neck of the nipple of the fuel tank that connects to the hose leading to the hose.
Does this require a new tank, or is there a bonding cement that I can fill the crack with? Just a thought!

I think your best bet is to get it plastic welded. This is done with a heat gun, so you still may have to defume the tank. If you are confident you can do it without blowing up the house, it is said to be easy. You use Zip ties as welding rods.

However when I tried to do it on my water tank to a worn through area about 1MM I ended up with a 50MM hole.LOL. However that was worn through and so very thin. I fixed my rubbish bin succesfully.

I have a plastic tank available - I was going to use it to replace the rusty steel tank in my 1986 car, but am now thinking of putting twin gas tanks in that space.
I'm in Melb.
