The tracks are quite soft in some spots. Having no rain for ages the sand is like powder. You shouldn't have any dramas though. The beach at low tide is a breeze. No major washouts besides Eli and Wyuna creek not deep but slow down. The track to Lake Mackenzie is quite rough due to the large volume of traffic. Boys in Blue are about so take care. I saw them pull up a few of the circle workers and made the idiots blow in a bag.

Going to Orchid beach there was a few traffic jams which took about and hour to clear there was a bloke towing a hugh boat with a Hilux getting bogged every few hundred meters. There is also a bl**dy big humpback whale washed up at Waddy point beach the sharks were having a go at him when the tide was high.

More idiots at this spot wading out into the gutter to toss a bait at the sharks. The sharks were in the gutter and they weren't small. These blokes were full of grog and had obviously lost all sense of reality. Otherwise its still as good as ever.

Got a few nice Tailor as well.

According to the lastest condition report, the Ngkala Rocks bypass is still closed - I don't think you can get to the top any other way ... :(

The bypass is closed it looks really dodgy. Sandy Cape is one my favourite places on Fraser. i think the greenies will be happy no one can get up there anymore.

I walked the first section the rocks could be traversed. There is a section where the track used to go that has a eroded away and looks impassable. looks pretty much the same as those photos a while back. If you did get through i think the rangers might be a bit miffed.

I have only been to fraser once.....and I loved it! would really love to go back again but with a gourp of landies this time I reckon, that would be cool...

we were on our own when we went there and hired a car......

we did hire a 110 just in case you were wondering:)
