I have a new 110 cab chassis that seems a whisker higher than the99 model it replaced. Anybody know where I can buy side steps for it, either self-contained or part of a brush bar? I was in the UK in September and plenty available there and not bad prices, but saw nothing advertised for a cab chassis, or truck cab as they call them.

LR, ARB, TJM, etc, etc

Don't by the twin tube LR ones as I've had a bad 12 months with these and they are stuffed. If I replace them under warranty they will only break again in the same way. That said they do mount well and make sure what ever you get mounts properly to the chassis.

When I was trying to source side steps for my 110 wagon I found that ARB only has the aluminium Kingsley steps which aren't real good protection wise. TJM has side steps which have an integral side protection bar, so you will need a bull-bar to attach them too.

I ended up getting mine from Opposite Lock - about $800 for the pair.

PS - I agree that the LR steps are a POS.....

The LR ones are better than Kingsley's though. Now they truly are only there for decoration.

I had LR ones on my D2a and they were extremely solid. Wish they had the same quality for the Defender ones:(

I asked at TJM in Rockhampton. They told me that the ones they sold were not worth it, but they get a local eng shop to make them up custom, cheaper and stronger, about $500 i think.
You might find a local place that can do similer.
