Hi

I just had the radiator on my 110 fixed up. Now just wondering what Ethylene glycol I should use. Its a P76 4.4 V8 if that matters. Also what pressure cap and degrees thermostat do these run?

I use 3 tins of the castrol concentrate on each of my vehicles whenever I change the coolant. I have had 3 separate radiator places tell me that is the best stuff.

I don't have a V8 though - so they may be special???

Hello Rich,

You could use Tectaloy, either in standard annual replacement or their longlife coolant which is a 5 year, 250,000km affair from memory.

Concentration wise, either 25 or 33% would be fine. Just follow the instructons on the packaging.

The radiator cap I would expect to be 15psi, same as the Rover V8, and thermostat either a 74, 78 or 82.

Personally I prefer the 74. Much better for warmer weather, gives the engine more room to play with, and in Winter just cover over part of the grille if need be.
