outlook stopped working with hotmail

over a month ago outlook has stopped working with hotmail have tried a few things but not that great on computers have not changed any pass words also have opened a mail address with optus this will recieve from that address have not figured how to change from hotmail to optus and back again.

May have to get one of those computer geeks for hire but will be a last resort but will be done before i get to angry with the computer and pound it through the desk with my head:p

When it stopped working were there any error messages?

inbox synchronizing headers reported error (0x800ccc33) access to the account denied, the server responded 'forbidden'.

I have gone into the settings and have varified that the password is correct I am guessing it may be at the other end or some setting has changed ie the pop setting???

I have added a new account as i have changed my broad band to another it will recieve this account ok but have not figured out how to bring it up to read the inbox

Pop3 access to Hotmail has been stopped, I got a heap of mails on my other computer about it from hotmail, warning of the change, change imminent, has changed etc.

They could've ended up in your junkmail.

There's a download called "Outlook Connector" (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=hotmail+outlook+connector+download&meta=&aq=8&oq=hotmail+outlook) which will allow you to get your Hotmails in Outlook again.

I haven't set it up again or tried it, so I'd be interested in your experiences if you do.
