Hey Guys,

I have ordered a new ARB winch bar for the SVX. Apparently the bottom bars on the left and right hand side need to be lowered so they don’t obstruct the driving lights (that are incorporated into the head light assembly).

Questions :

Has anyone out there fitted a ARB bull bar onto their SVX110 ?

If so, did you need to lower the bottom bars ?

If so, by how much ?

If not, is it problem when using the high beam ?

Do the lower bars obscure the driving lights by much ?

Does it look okay ?

The bull bars is suppose to be sent directly to an engineering shop for the modifications and new powder coating.

If this is a waste of time and money it would great to know now rather than later.

Appreciate any help that can be offered.

Cheers

Some say you should also consider fitting front coils from a 130.

My local ARB will not fit their bar to my SVX. Funny thing is they showed me a photo of one of their bars on a SVX. Apparently that owner was un concerned about blocking the lights.
They also said that modifying the bar would make it non compliant and void there warranty and also be an issue with insurance.
Pity. I like the ARB bar.

ARB have said that the warranty will be void if I modify it and they want me to sign a waiver for them to fit it, but they will fit it !

They also said that the bar would be non compliant due to lower bars blocking the lights, went on to say if the bars were moved no issue with as ADR.

I have only seen a picture of one on car sales of a SVX with the ARB bar fitted, but couldn’t really see the position of the light in relation the lower bar.

Would it be hard to fit the standard head lights?

(I'm not stirring the pot here, honestly  )

That might be worth exploring, I think the SVX head lights might fit into the normal surrounds

ARB dealer in Midland removed the bars. They said ARB have done this before on an SVX in Queensland and its realy the only way to fit it without blocking the lights

Surely you could disconect the factory driving lights as more than likely you will be fitting better quality lights to the bar;)
And yes i know any lights fitted to the car that are starndard should work for a Road worthy

Thanks Allan for pictures and advice.

The removal of the lower bars on your SVX looks tops, still keep the SVX look.

I think I will just follow suit.

Cheers.
