hello,

i'm trying to get a blackwood/lederderg map to run when i'm in the area. I have put the map in the gps running ozi.ce and all is fine until i try to run it in the area. it just loads a vic state map instead of the blackwood map. i can load the blackwood map and see it on the screen so thats not a problem i just want it to come up when i go driving in the bush so i can track where i have been. any help would be great.

thanks guys

G'DAy,
From memory its to do with the file path when your in moving map, as in it needs to know where the map is to load it, when you look at the map manually you find the file for it !! hence if you set up the file path it will find it and load it ! I would have to take a look to be sure, and I'm sure someone else on here would be in the know ?
Something you can try is making sure all your maps are in the same folder as the one you are seeing ??

Hope that's a help and not making it harder !!

Cheers

Along with what Jeremy said and make sure that both files, i.e .map & the ozf? (or image file) are in the same folder.

Best to use Ozi default map locations when loading them onto your unit

Also check the calibration of the map. It may be loading OK but when it has to load from the GPS data things may not marry up.

Especially check regarding northern/southern hemisphere, if you load it in Oxi (PC version) does it show in the right place on an index map (or check a map ref given by Ozi v printed on the map)
