Hi,
I am going to be in need of new brakes and rotors shortly (at least for the front i think). They are running a nice little dip on the edge and with 190K on the clock i presume its time!
What are others running and where to get a good deal.
Should i get second hand rotors and have them machined if they are off a low km car?
I saw these but from what i have read a few US drivers bag the mintex pads and not sure what rotors are supplied.

EBC greenstuff pads seem to come highly recommended? Anyone recommend a good supplier. Should i stay OEM? I do a little bit of towing.
Anyway looking forward to hearing what you are all using.
Cheers,
Remy

I got a set of after market standard ventilated front dics for about $40 (Brembo) each from a local independent parts bloke here, plus the (standard) pads which IIRC were about $70 for the set. I did entertain the thought of DBA drilled and slotted gold discs ...well the thought actually entertained ME...until I got a price  The standard stuff works very well.

Dunno what I'm running. The front rotors were about $50 each. I think the pads are Lockheed Delphi.

I'm running DBA Slotted in mine, can't remember what pads though. I've done nearly 25,000k's and they appear to have been barely worn.

EBC slotted rotors in front, stock at rear.
No idea what pads are on... maybe I should have a look to see how much pad is left :o

Picture the scene if you will: Think front room dilapidated house in run down part of suburb, couple of freelance mechanics fixing elderly cars in the driveway, which is all of 4 metres from the kerb... phone running hot, spare parts everywhere, lots of paperwork... everyone seems happy... in a tense sort of way! Very interesting experience:angel::wasntme:;)
