Piranha DBE 180S.....what else can it do?

I have now instaled my Piranha DBE 180S Dual Battery monitor and DBM4 battery protector/monitor:D.
Although I found it very easy to install I was dissapointed at the lack of information given in the literature about the actual unit and what it's capabilities are.

All I know is that it will charge both my main starter battery and the auxilery battery and that I can check the status of each battery by pressing the appropriate button on the monitors display. I know nothing else about the unit or what special features it has. The sales literature is very basic :(

The back of the unit has additional connections for " Ground, Main Battery Sense wire, Auxillery Battery (max 10amps), Ignition Power Source (max 10amps)"
What are these connections for?

It also has connections for the solar panel which I will install later but have no need for right now.

Any further info about this unit & wha it can do would be very much appriciated.

Budgie has asked that I post a picture of the units location.

Mine is LHD but I see no reason why the unit couldn't be fitted in the same location on a right hooker. It's a very small unikt and doesn't need much space. Piranha supply enough of the HD cable to reach both batteries no matter where you mount the unit within the engine bay.
The unit requires a 12v switched feed that I took from the audio control circut.
Everything else is very straight forward.

If you need any other pointers then don't hesitate to shout.
