Land Rover have for some reason discontinued the iphone/pd connection cable that was available as a accessory, on all new Pumas ( that’s what I have been told ) so I just wondered what may be a good audio unit with the ability to integrate a iphone/pd to replace the factory one./????

Just go to a good car stereo shop and ask. I have a Alpine system ini mine which is awesome. Alpine D105E it has iPhone, ipod, GPS, Reversing camera, Blue tooth basically everything you could need!

I guess you have considered the small units that connect to the bottom of the iPod and transmit the signal to your radio? No connections needed and some models also plug into the cigarette lighter to power/recharge your iPod.

Another option could be a Parrot bluetooth unit that daisy chains onto your factory headunit wiring loom.

I was using one the BT transmitters plugged into my Ipod to stream music etc to teh head unit but the battery life is rubbish and you can't charge & stream at the same time.
Griffin make the 'Road Trip' which streams and charges at the same time. Parrot are also good but need charging every few days.
