Gday

I was under the impression I had a heavy duty alternator in the Landy, I found out a short while ago I don't

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the part number for a 120A or 100A 300 Tdi Discovery alternator

I get a fairly good discount at an electrical place here in town so I want to try them before I try a Landy Parts supplier

Thanks

Ford transit units bolt straight on,they run a 6V belt instead of 7 and are a good buy for under $300 brand new. Pat

Hi Jock

You'd might like to look at Paddocks in the UK, I purchased my alternator for my Disco 300TDI last year for 112 pounds ($AUD230.00), it was delivered in 4 days.

I've purchased all my parts from Paddocks with no problems at all, they even honour their products warranty.

Cheers

Hi Wayne
How much (approximately) did it cost for postage?

Hi Pat thanks for the tip. Do you know what amps they put out? Have you had personal experience with the transit alternators? I was planning on a Disco one for my 300Tdi Defender. It has the original 75amp one in there and no signs of trouble that I've noticed so far, but Ive done 213000 so maybe it's a bit old (?)
