Hi everyone
I've decided to treat the Disco2 for some new Shocks front & rear
My question is are Britpart any good?
i want something for both road and off road use
The dealer has suggested either Britpart which he claims are better than the original ones or OME shocks although they cost much much
Note that mine has SLS & ACE fitted so i don't want a smooth ride.
So what would you go for
Cheers

Gday, I had old man emu nitro chargers on mine D2 2001 and had no problems, I only changed them recently to Bilsteins and I won an ebay auction for them thats why I went to the bilsteins, which so far have been very good off and on road.
Dont know about the britpart shocks..I would use OME again no probs
Hope this helps in some way,
Cheers Ean

Thanks for the feedback Ean
think i'll go for the OME ones to be on the safe side.
better spend a little more than spending twice for something
not know.
Thanks again

Howdy,

Just agreeing with Ean, I have had 2" OME's in for a year and a half and have been very happy with them. They seem to cope quite well with 700kg of firewood in the back and on the floor too.

Cheers

I had OME on my D2a after the originals. They are OK but will still fad after a few hours of driving in sand or on rough roads. Even from new.

Koni and Bilstein are much better but more expensive and it really depends on what you are doing. You'll probably find the OME are good enough.

I have Dobinson's on a D2 with SLS no ACE. So far so good although there are better shocks out there. You gets what you pay for though... I didn't have much option but Landrover, Monroe and Dobinsons and went for the Dobinson's.

We have fitted alot of Irnoman Foam cell to all the landy up here in the NT. The customers love them as they take the body roll out and you can use the datandard shock with a50mm lift.

I went for these.
https://www.suspensionstuff.com.au/shop/product_info.php?cPath=27_94_113&products_id=499&osCsid=f1de1e8e3325f45a1979d1a7fc80626f

can be fitted for standard hight and also with a 2 " lift.

mine is currently standard hight, great on the freeway and offroad so far.

How much are the OME?

Cheers

Matt
