Hi all.
I have my mud flaps off (whats left of them). How do i get them the studs apart that hold the flaps on. Seems like they are pressed on.

If they are just the hanging rubber flap then they are basically a large rivet. Effectively pressed on. So easiest to drill them out. I'd then replace them with a suitably sized stainless bolt, nyloc nut and large washers either side.

I have replaced mine with longer and wider conveyor belt flaps. I reused the metal sandwich piece with three new bolts, nuts and washers each side.
As for the easiest way to remove the old ones, I found cutting away as much of the old flap as possible and then cutting upwards with a hacksaw. The original rivet things are made of cheese and are cut through very easily.

I used a sanding disc on a 4" grinder to take the top off the rivets. They then fall out and you can replace them with 6mm bolts and nylocs.
