It's doesn't actually have to be a physical sign (ie crop circles :) ). You could shoot something like 'a sign of summer'.

Here is a pic of a trailhead inside Yosemite National Park. Officially there is no 4 wheeling in the park, but I found a slick, seldom used, very old road that starts in a National forest and ends inside the boundaries of the park. The road is a very old stage coach/ wagon road that was built to avoid a rocky impassible section of the Merced River canyon. The road is not too steep (grade wise) because it was built for horses pulling a load, but there are a number of places that if your passenger decided to step out of the truck he/she would not touch the gound until he/she fell 35 feet due to the steepness of the slope. I guess that is what makes this a "scary road". There is a small community of homes in the park on the western boarder and they took it upon themselves to post a few extra signs to discourage people from using the road.... since I am illiterate, the signs are are just pretty colors on sticks to me!!! Also if you go into and out of the park on this road you don't have to pay the $20 entrance fee... there is no toll booth out in the booney's where the road passes into the park.

Sorry no pics of the crocs, even though the place is full of them ;). Don't see them much when the river is flooding. But I bet the bloke that drove the truck into the river had a hairy escape. I'm aware of at least one guy who was taken (in front of his young son) by a croc at this very place (Cahill's Crossing in Kakadu (http://blogs.abc.net.au/nt/2008/05/cahills-crossin.html)).
In those days when they named things in Australia (i.e. late 18th/early 19th century) there was a (incorrect obviously) believe that the crocs in Australia were alligators. But the names stuck.

Bushie, what Sigma lens is that?
The 70mm f/20 has given a nice star pattern.

Its the 70mm f2.8 EX DG Macro.
Only had it a couple of weeks but very happy with it so far.

Should be nice, I've got it's bigger brother the 150 f/2.8 Macro and it's very good. 9 blade lens and stopped down hence the nice starring. I haven't used mine in that situation as a 150mm prime isn't as useful as it is for its macro ability.
