D3 door locked

Hi there,

The left front passenger door suddenly won't unlock, tried many times but won't budge. I even tried to manually unlock (with key) it but still won't open. Even trying to open from the inside won't do it!, seems like jammed in the locked position, it moves barely when I press the unlock buttons (keys and dash). Any similar experience out there?, did you get it resolved or had to take to dealer?, still under warranty so if I can't figure it out will be a trip to the dealer I go.

If you can't open it even manually I'd take it to a dealer ... no point in risking damaging it by forcing it, or filling it with CRC etc. (I suspect the mechanism is fouled in some way, or the solenoid faulty.)

Happened to us. Car was on an angle when my son jumped out of the rear passenger side door with a camera. After that, the door was permanently locked. Dealer fixed it with a parts replacement, 2 months before the warranty expires.

I wonder how common this problem is. I don't believe the scenario was a coincidence.
