Just started with 64bit Windows 7.
Shutup the lot of you, I considered a Mac, but don't like the keyboards on their laptops.:p
Anyone having a good time with browsers?
I can't find a Chrome variation in 64. I did find a FF version, but have run into all kinds of flash problems, and registry problems after also installing Chrome32.
I'll persist because I really don't like ie.

My new machine arrives later this week so I should not really comment :)
But what the heck...
Adobe has yet to release a 64 bit version of their Flash Player, and the 32 bit version cannot be used in conjunction with a 64 bit browser under Windows 7 / Vista 64. Adobe have only committed to releasing a 64 bit version of the player at some point after the release of Flash Player version 10.
So we may have to stick with a 32bit browser for now
For 64bit software try:

I used to run Chrome under XP, but in 64 bit windows I've just gone the in-built IE path. (I can't get too excited by a browser - if it works, I'll use it).
There are 2 icons under Windows 2008 for IE (under All Programs), one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit, but I can't see that on my Win7 PC. It's probably there behind the scenes, so I'd bet it comes with a 32 bit browser out of the box.
If you use the 32-bit IE version on a 64-bit PC, flash works fine.

Have you tried Safari? I believe they have a 64-bit Windows 7 version available.

That's OK and I even managed to post the information without suggesting you should have got a MacBook Pro:angel:
DOH! I just did:p
What didn't you like about the keyboard? I like the Mac keyboards and they are nicely backlit.

Pretty sure there is no 64 bit Flash for windows though I think they are finally making one now. I think they have a version for linux but its still in beta.
So any flash that works in a 64 bit browser is 32 bit and ported to work on 64 so its probably slower than using a normal browser.

Yeah, but it's not running on a 64bit browser, is it?
I've just recently come to the realisation that it isn't Microsoft or Apple that are the enemy, it's Adobe.
How many crashes have you had from Flash gone bad or Acrobat slowing the entire system down?

Flash Player support on 64-bit operating systems
To view/add comments, you must enable JavaScript in your browser.
Issue
Adobe Flash Player is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser. However, you can run Flash Player in a 32-bit browser running on a 64-bit operating system.
Reason
Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.
Note: To participate in pre-release testing of 64-bit Flash Players see Adobe Labs (http://labs.adobe.com/).
Solution
To use Flash Player to view Flash content on a 64-bit operating system, you must run a 32-bit browser. For details on setting this up for Windows see Microsoft Help & Suppor (http://support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx'mode=r&qid=1883043&query=32-bit+browser+on+64-bit+operating+system&spid=global&catalog=LCID%3D1033&1033comm=1&res=20)t.
For details on using Flash Player on Mac OS X 10.6 on 64-bit machines, see:
