resetting security code

I have the security code but I dont have the owners manual could someone be able to help me with the procedure for entering the code. Thanks in advance.

What vehicle, model, year?

I'm assuming it's a radio you're referring to but there's a lot of different ones.

sorry it is a 99 D2 & it is the radio code

I put a D2 radio into my D1, If I remember correctly turn on the power, and press in the numbers via the channel preset number buttons
