Will the rear springs on a 130 fit into the front
The front of my 130 has a winch bar and winch and looks like it has sagged a bit
After fiting airbags to the rear :D I have these springs and wondering if they would fit instead of buying new heave duty springs for the front
Cheers

No.
The rears on a 110 and 130 are bigger than the fronts, the 130 rear helpers are smaller.
The fronts are the same diameter as front and rear of coil RR, Disco 1s and 90s. I'm uncertain of Disco 2.

Have you fitted full air to the rear or air bags to the coil springs?

Hi Ian,
Are you happy with the air suspension?
Who's kit is it?
Could you post or email me some photos and also the air spring part numbers, I assume they are Firestone springs.

Thanks

Tony

G' day Tony
Yes I am very happy with the airbags on the rear .
If you do a search for airbags their is a nice 130 with pics of the airbag set up. sorry i dont know who it is but has a pic with out the tray on it looks like the same set up as mine
I got the air bags from AIRBAG MAN and the part number is BB4515

I had a simliar issue with the front of my 110 sagging because of the winch. It's a long time ago but after some research I think I discovered that the standard rear springs from a 90 were the same part number as the standard front springs of my 110. So I just bought a pair of heavy duty rear springs for a 90 and fitted them to the front of my 110. Worked a treat.

Of course, all that may not help you in the slightest but someone might find it interesting (or prove my memory completely wrong) :)

Cheers, LandieMan

What we have found that King Spring make a heavy duty spring with extra tension on the front to stop the sagging in the front.

We fitted a seat full set with a set of foam cell shocks to a defender with winch and the front and it actually raised it a fraction. the car is still level now after 2 years and the owner loves the ride and comfort. It hasnt dropped a bit.

There are a lot of options out there you just got to find what is right for you and what is available in your area.

All food for thought.

Ian,
Have a look here

land rover spring specifications (http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/springinfo.html)

It's a good listing of spring data both LR genuine and some aftermarket.
If you look at the Land Rover data you'll find the rate and length of the standard 130 fronts (they are different left to right).
From there you should be able to get an idea of what you want as a replacement.
