Need some help please in regards to fuel filler opener.
I have replaced the fuse, but cannot get the flap open.
Thus no way to open & fill the car.
Any quick things to inspect to rectify the problem from past experiences?

I have a vague recollection that there's a release cable/lever operated from inside the vehicle adjacent to the external flap.

You're welcome.
I've been stashing away snippets of D3 get-out-of-trouble info for when I get one. Yesterday I looked at a D4 and couldn't find the button to open the flap - there isn't one anymore!

The very first time I went to fill my D3 I kept pushing and pushing the flap and it would not open.:(

Then I decided to unlock the car:wallbash:

Yeah Jamo, l have had the D3 for a while now, but when this one came up, it had me stuffed. (Thought just a fuse)>
The release latch just would not release the flap.
Funny enough after appling the manual release and going to the servo & fuelled up,
i tried the flap again & it worked fine.
Typical Landrover:):p

My daughter's old Peugeot 405 was the same.

But if you press lock twice (deactivates the dead lock and motion sensor if you have them) it also allows the fuel cap to open.

Cheers, Steve

Happens occasionally. After contacting LandRover at the servo when it happened to myself - the procedure explained was to get in drivers seat, turn key to "on" position, not starting the car, shift the transmission into drive, put foot on brake and then turn key into start position which will not start it, and hold key for a count of at least six seconds and then release key and shift trans back to park, get out of car, lock it and unlock by the fob and the flap will pop open. This has reset the computer.

As usual, I am profoundly thankful for this forum.

Happened today, could not open the filler cap at the servo for the life of me. Was at the just rip it open stage when I thought to myself, nope, just go home, check out aulro and see if there is a fix.

I'm a smart feller me...

Cheers again guys,

Norm
