Helga,my Volvo grader had a stopwork meeting today.
Died without warning, would crank over but no fire up.I had just finished pulling 1Km of shoulder up onto the road to waterbind:mad::mad::mad::mad:.
Rang the service manager at CJD,told him I believe its a fuel issue,he got me to get somebody to pump the fuel primer. She fired up and had another HISSY fit with smoke pouring off the lift pump pulley.
Siezed lift pump was the over the phone diagnosis.
Within 2 hours they had a service van on site with a new pump.Well done CJD,not bad as we are working at least 180km from Perth.SHAME other machinery dealers cannot meet their service backup!!!!

CJD Equipment are the Volvo(plus other brands) dealers in Aust.
They were originally Chamberlain John Deere Aust I believe.

So does Helga have mechanical injection or EFI?

Hi Ben.EFI,they are unit injectors, camshaft driven as in the TD5.
Yes,Ian new mojo. The pump is a lift pump driven by the fanbelt. The old one was re-used apparently during the re-build as the tech said these new ones shouldnt fail. When removed he said it wasnt the new type.

They were CJD Equipment, a business started by a couple of then young and smart WA businessmen. They were originally Chamberlain and John Deere dealers, amongst other brands. One time they were the White truck distributors for WA.
