Sandisk Extreme or Class 10 ?

OK I've managed to confuse myself.

Which is the better/faster card a Sandisk 16gb Extreme III (class 6) or a Sandisk 16 gb Extreme Class 10:confused:

Will it make much difference in a 12Mb compact camera?

Class 10 is faster but more to the point will it be recognised by the camera. Unless the camera is the latest and greatest and super fast at storing the images it won't make any difference. The only noticeable benefit would be in reading the images back on a card reader able to read at class 10 SDHC. At that point you'd also want it to be a Firewire800 device.

Hi BB,

Even an EIII will be over kill for a D10 (the underwater 12mp model??). I have a UltraII in a G10, and have no problems at all. I even use UltraII's in my D2x without a problem. Hope this helps!
