Man, I admire and thank all you firies and volunteer firies out there (includes SES volunteers) - it is a seriously hard job in these dry and hot times :(

Well done on all your efforts to keep the rest of us safe, and may the people who play with matches get what's coming to them!

Good luck over the next few days - looks like it is going to be very hot and dry...

Hi there Bushie

After a few weeks of extreme temperatures, we have all ours fires in SA under-control (shouldnt speak to loud just yet).

BUT - the past 24 hours has been a freek of nature, with huge rain in most areas of SA - For us in the Flinders Rangers we have had over 55mm in 20 hrs

Its been a good wake up call for some home owners - please we all need to do our part (clean up around you houses if you live in rural areas - as we are unabe to protect everyone).

But we need to stress theres a long way to go yet in the Fire Danger Seasons.

All the best

Thats why we chose to make our place a black spot. Told the local guys flatly that if the fires comming we have already writen the place off. I will help save the neighbours places and forget my place exists.
