Some help please:
1. What does a shrieking alarm unit look like? I want to disconnect mine.
2. If I disconnect the alarm circuit (by removing the fuse), do you think that will kill everything, or will we drop back to normal function of the circuits?
3. Does anyone have a similar alarm ? Mine has a little thick plastic blue key with three contact strips. It fits into a rectangular hole mounted on the steering column. It has to be inserted and removed before the LR will start.
The alarm appears to be set up so a light flashes on the steering column to indicate it is active once the battery is turned on. This must be cancelled within 10 secs and the car started to cancel the alarm activation. If not cancelled, the alarm is activated after approximately 2 minutes.
This alarm is driving me nuts as I try to sort out non operational items like the winch.
As usual, any info would be appreciated......Jim
