A couple of months ago after having the right rear tyre go flat whilst several hundred kms east from Marble Bar ie. middle of nowhere, the car lowered itself right down till resting upon the tyres and being a very narrow side scratching track the car bellied out on the track. Luckily for the Sat phone I called LandRover care and as the first people you talk to are glorified receptionists with no basic vehicle knowledge, you wait to be patched through to a mechanic somewhere all the while thinking of your next sat phone bill. I finally was able to speak to a mechanic and what I was to do to rectify the problem and upon asking if I can call him back direct if it didn't work out, he told me to be quick about it as he knocks off in 12 minutes !, it was going on to 5pm. I have previously written to LandRover Australia and asking for the first person you talk to, to know those few basic computer resetting procedures to get you going again, no response. LandRover Australia have a not-so funny way of promoting the brand here and they wonder why I would not recommend one to my family. I truly believe they think everybody uses them just to pick up the kids from school in a capital city. And again, who is that tosser who designed the car to lower every time there is a problem ?.

You should have been able to clear with a re-boot. ie switch off, remove key, wait ~2 mins until the clock display goes off, then re-start.

If that fails, wait until the clock display goes off and then disconnect the battery leads from the battery and touch the two leads together.

There is some way of cycling the ignition 3 or 4 times, but I've never got that one to work.

For real piece of mind go to blackbox solutions and get a faultmate.

Thankyou for that information I did not know about some more ways of resetting the computer and Blackbox Solutions, no doubt they will be used in the future if the other ways I know do nothing.
Makes me wonder how many people actually have the computer completely fail or if they never knew some of these resets.
Have you ever found a thread listing all the different ways or some LandRover literature ?
Thanks again.
